New Community Groups

We have details of three exciting new community groups to share with you.

You can find other groups and events, including Cuppa Club, a friendly chat group for people 65+ run by our own Social Prescribing Link Workers, by going to the Resources page on our website, and picking Groups/Events from the resource type option.

If you would like to speak to one of the Social Presbing team who work with patients at all practices in Gosforth and Jesmond, please ask your practice team to put you in touch.

Social Prescribing Link Workers help people with non-medical issues that affect their overall wellbeing. Our brilliant team in Gosforth and Jesmond offer a range of services and support tailored to you and your needs.

Fawdon Men’s Group

A new weekly men’s group is launching in February, based at the Fawdon Community Centre.

The weekly mental health peer support group is open for any men to come along and meet new people over a cuppa. It’s an informal, friendly, and safe space to get support or share experiences.

Launching on 6th February, the groups will meet every Tuesday at Fawdon Community Centre from 10 am to 12 pm.

The sessions will be run by the Newcastle Community Asset Trust, who support community regeneration by providing opportunities and access to services that otherwise wouldn’t exist.
